About Pymble Public School P&C

At Pymble Public School the Parents and Citizens’ Association (P&C) plays an important role in supporting the school’s teaching and learning activities. Our organisation brings the school community together across its various activities; from funding a variety of large and small scale projects and programs such as a highly successful band program, air-conditioning throughout the school and moderate school capital repairs; to facilitating community outreach efforts such as meal chain programs for families in need, communications between parent groups and language translations. The Pymble Public School P&C is fundamentally involved in every aspect of day to day school activity. Whether in class, on the field or on stage there is a ‘whole school’ approach to the wellbeing of our students, as we aim to enhance and extend their experience at school.

Working in close co-operation with the school executive, administration, and teaching staff, we undertake a range of fundraising activities across the calendar year. These activities require the ongoing generosity of the community, both in time commitment and monetary contribution. The funds raised contribute to the school’s budget and ensure all students at Pymble Public School can enjoy an engaging and fulfilling time at school, regardless of their individual means or interests.

Our Double the Impact Project:

The project we are seeking funding for is improved lighting for the Crown Road entrance to Pymble Public School. Currently, the school entrance is poorly lit after dark. This has meant that school events outside daylight savings hours are restricted which doesn’t allow the community use of the facilities despite them being available.

Who will benefit from this fundraising initiative?

All students and community visitors to Pymble Public School after dark will benefit from the additional lighting. This project will significantly improve availability, safety and visibility therefore enhancing the confidence of parents, carers, community groups and children upon their departure from Pymble Public School after hours.
